I think it’s really important to get our kids involved in environmental issues. Teach them early and then they will carry that through adulthood. I talk about respect for nature with my kids. I also let the oldest help make laundry soap. I always explain to him why. He know’s that we don’t use bleach because it’s unsafe for him and the Earth. My boys have an early understanding of recycleing.
So I went searching the world wide web and came across some cool resources that parents can use with their kids to get them involved. Here is my list.
Nickelodeon’s The Big Green Help
Earth Day Crafts and Activities
the EPA Environmental Kids Club
So there are a couple places to find some cool things to do with your kids. I really like DLTK and their crafts. I use them a lot with my kids and will be printing off some for Wednesday.

Thanks for the list, I’ve been trying to think of some fun things to do with Jake.
I have an award for you over on my blog, you can find it here: http://www.livingmycharmedlife.com/2009/04/time-out-monday-mom-of-year.html
