I have a friend that began a website for pictures of nasty women's restrooms because she believes that women's bathrooms are worse then men's and I'd have to agree. We leave some pretty disgusting messes in those potties. I've had to hold my son up over the toilet or let him pee in the bushes because I'm so afraid of the germs lying on the toilet. Gross!

Unfortunately, people are disgusting pigs when using a public restroom. I work iwth the public and have had people actually crap on the floor and leave it. No wonder more and more people are not offering a public restroom.

ROFLMAO! I can't stand going to the restroom in public for the exact same reasons! My son is also 4, and HAS to pee at every stop on Errand Day. One time, it was unavoidable, no way for him to hold it anymore, but our town's branch of the store we were in is notorious for filthy bathrooms (*cough*walmart*cough*). We had been out most of the day, in neighboring towns as well as our own, so I broke my public-bathroom "ew factor", and took off running for the potties. When we reached the bathroom, I noticed how spectacularly clean it was! It smelled nice, the floors weren't tacky, all the water was still in the toilets, which ONLY had water in them! My son finished his business, and we left the bathroom...bumping into a very nice (albeit slightly confused) gentleman. It was only then that I realized the neighboring town's Walmart is IDENTICAL to ours in every way...except for the restrooms, which are reversed. Men may be pigs at home, but at least in public they hit the bowl!

I admit, I did kind of wonder about the urinal in the "ladies" room ("Well how nice for a big corporation to realize women bring their little boys in here", etc). Oops!

Oh i couldnt agree more. Im convinced thats why there is always a line at womens bathrooms. The "good" women must be searching for a clean stall! At work HR actually had to hang up signs with pictures to show what a clean bathroom looks like and it encourages us to report it to maintence or our manager if it is ever dirty - which is all the time. Mr. RotoRooter must come at least every other month and actually told us it was the womens bathroom each time. Apparantly we have some women who try to flush pads down the toilet, paper towles and all kinds of things. We now have no paper towels in the bathroom(as punishment) and the hand dryer sucks. We also have signs reminding us that feminine products are not to be flushed and in fact you should always flush twice regardless to make sure everything went down before you step out of the stall! This is all stuff I learned from my mom at a very young age. Where do these inconsiderate people come from???

I work at a busy Starbucks and have had the misfortune of having to clean the bathrooms. It makes me really mad because seriously how hard is it to go to the bathroom and pee IN the toilet first of all, and secondly, actually flush? I mean people do it at home right? They just don't care. I think you would have to purposely try to be that disgusting. I hate it!

OMG u r too funny! I just started reading ur blog and you make me laugh every time! I'm currently TRYING to potty train my daughter and sometimes I make her wear pull-ups when we go out for the same reason you wrote about - DIRTY NASTY PUBLIC RESTROOMS! I'd rather her pee in her pull-ups than take her into a public restroom any day! Thanks for giving this stressed out mom a laugh at the end of a hard day.
