Geesh My kids would not only be able to sit comfortably for along time they would be grounded until doomsday. I would make sure he went to church everytime the doors where open. Thank God no one was hurt.

Wow. I hadn’t heard about this one. This is the sort of news that should be reported quietly with a sigh, and perhaps shaking of heads, to warn families. Why DO we reinforce these things with undue media attention? Incredible.

I say the consequences should always match the crime. I think his punishment was way too light. I have grounded my children for an entire week for a lot less than this~! I would of thought that since he told the officers he didn’t want to go to church then maybe since a lot of them hold services 3 or more days a week that he should of been made to attend all services for the next 3 months along with washing the car every week so he can think about it each time he is washing it.

Try telling this to my sister, whom I love dearly, who let’s her 5-year-old start her car. I keep trying to tell her not to let him but she sees no harm in it. I sure do.

I agree totally. I saw it this morning and was amazed that the parents made light of the entire situation where many people could have been seriously injured or killed. The kid didnt even truely remember how he was able to drive the car due to his small size… it obviously looks like no lesson was learned in this household.
