Trisha over at MomDot thought it would be a good idea to do a little “formal” introduction of ourselves. I mean, I’ve got an “About” page that is full of 100 riveting facts about me, but honestly, it hasn’t been updated in a while. So I figured I would participate. Besides, I like to talk about myself, it’s why I have a blog.
My name is Rhea (REE-ah) and I live in Southern California (San Diego area). I have a husband and three sons.
Anthony is my brilliant 5yo. He is way smarter than any 5yo should be.
Nathan is my funny as shit 3yo. This kid has the most wicked sense of humor of anyone I’ve ever known.
Gabriel is my daring 3yo (yes, I have TWO three year olds). He is constantly bouncing his head off the ground without a second thought. I think he’ll be a linebacker.
Bob is the husband. He has a blog here that he never updates. He likes to play video games and works in the IT field.
I love to take pictures and just got a new camera for Christmas. I have been having a blast with it. Right now trying to remember to take a picture a day is occupying all of my time. It’s only a week into the year, too. I hope I make it all 365 days.
I’m also a gestational surrogate. I delivered triplets November of 2007 and I will be delivering a baby boy this May. I love being a surrogate and bringing joy to a mother who otherwise would have an empty heart. It’s the very best feeling in the world. I don’t mind answering questions about my journey’s or surrogacy in general, so feel free to ask away.
I love vampire stories and as much as I HATE to admit it, being around my husband for 10 years has given me a new appreciation for Star Trek. Did you see the latest Star Trek movie? It was awesome.
Anyhow…hhmmm….what else is there?
Oh, I hate having my picture taken. I’m sure it’s because I am incredibly uncomfortable in my body right now having gained way too much weight in the last 2 years. I hope to change that after I have the baby so maybe you will see more pictures of me next year.
I guess that’s really about all of the interesting stuff. I look forward to making my way around the linky and meeting all the other bloggy ladies!
PS – do you think I photoshopped my teeth too much? They look weird….

Wow, I guess we DO need to be BFFs! We have quite a bit in common! Other than the three boys, I have also been a gestational surrogate! How funny!

Nice to find out more about you Rhea! I want to tell you again how AWESOME you are for being a surrogate. Someday when I have the money I am going to try to have another baby using a surrogate since I can’t have another on my own.
