We went to the beach for the first time this weekend. It was pushing 90 degrees at our house but we got to the coast and it was a chilly 68. The boys didn’t care, they LOVE the beach!

MAN — I *want* to go to the beach so badly, but it has gotten too hot (we’re already jumping around 100).
Sounds like boys to me! Mine could be teeth chattering goose pimply skin cold but they still want to play in the water!!! ;D

I love the Beach too! I live by Folsom Lake so that will have to do this summer. No seashells but plenty of fun!

Three boys growing closer and closer to manhood -
by the oceans edge, on a sandy beach stood.
Their personalities unique and yet at times nearly the same,
sometimes bold, yet sometimes sweet and tame.
Six bare feet ran to the oceans edge fast,
I wonder if they’re wishing their childhood would always last.
Are they dreaming of captaining a ship on the sea,
of scubba diving, or surfing to catch a wave that is so big and free?
Are they planning to go to far away lands,
or just in the moment to scoop up mud and sea shells into their hands?
As a parent I hope today they don’t have any growing up plans,
I hope they just have fun and get 3 little tans.

Kids don’t feel the temps until they had enough water fun! What beach did you go to?
We were at a beach in Del Mar, CA. We found a great little spot with (paid) parking and decent bathrooms and lifeguards. So we like it.
