Remember how I showed you all my boobies yesterday? Well, the imaging center called today and the doctor (radiologist?) wants me to come in for a breast ultrasound to look at the right side “a little closer.”
The tech told me yesterday that this was common and usually just the result of overlapping tissues.
Doesn’t make me feel any less queasy.
I have to wait until the 23rd. Think happy boobie thoughts for me, please. Well, you don’t really have to think about my boobies…oh…well…nevermind.

It is extremely common to be called back after your first ever mammogram. That’s the truth, it’s not just something people tell you to make you feel better.
Here’s the reason…
There are many different types of tissue that make up the breast, and everyone has different amounts of different types of tissue. Just like fingerprints, no two are alike! When the radiologist looks at a mammogram one of the most important things those images are compared to, are the images from that woman’s previous mammogram. Since this is your first mammo, there is nothing to compare… no way to know FOR SURE that the one little area on your right breast is normal for you.
I know it’s easy to say “dont worry”, so just try not to worry too much
I think about your boobies all the time! Ahem. I mean. Wow. That sucks. Don’t panic. I’m sure everything’s fine- it’s just your enormous tatas need some more pictures.
This time take the flip!
ROFL @ Cheryl! But she probably hit it on the head. Larger boobs are harder to image. I hear about boobies all day long and not a day goes by that I don’t type reports where a woman has to come back or has come back and its all fine. Remember you’re still younger AND you just had a baby. I know you didn’t breast feed but you still got milk so it could just be dilated ducts from that. *Prayers that every thing is okay.*
((hugs)) Lots of positive thoughts that it’s nothing major.
Thinking good thoughts, but like the other ladies said…chances are it really is nothing, just getting good pictures to compare later pictures to
I got called back. I just had some nerve fibers all bunched up in one area. Probably born that way, who knows, but not cancer. So they just have to
be sure. If they were really worried, they have you back in before the 23rd.
Good boobie thoughts are sent your way via my boobies.
I’m trying to think of a nice way to say, “You have big boobies. They are probably just dense and what the doctor saw was a bunch of fatty tissues lumped together.” There’s not really a polite way to say that though, but I’m hoping that’s all it is! And hey, there’s no shame in big lumpy boobies. I have them and I’m proud! Please don’t hate me for calling your boobies big…or lumpy….
LMBO Renee! I’ll be sure not to hold it against you for calling them big and lumpy. hahaha
