It took the little boys a bit longer to find Jack this morning because he hid himself in the array of stuffed holiday characters on our fireplace hearth. But there he is, bring a special message: Believe!
Believe!
Welcome Back Jack!
Jack Andrew Smitty arrived last night and I was woken up by loud “whispers” saying “mom! Jack is in our bathroom!” Gabriel was SO EXCITED! Until…
Jack took position on top of the medicine cabinet in the boys’ bathroom. He even snagged some tinsel out of the recently un-closeted Christmas decoration boxes. He looked super cute up there and wrote a little greeting announcing his arrival. Everyone “oohed” and “awed” until Gabriel had to pee.
“Mommy, I need to pee.”
“Go ahead.”
“But Jack is in the bathroom.”
“So?”
“I can’t go pee if Jack is watching.”
*uh-oh*
“Just go use mommy’s bathroom if you don’t want Jack to see.”
*crises adverted*
Come dinner time, Gabriel was still afraid to use the bathroom with Jack. Poor Jack ended up being pretty lonely in the bathroom today. I hope he remembers that the bathroom is not always a good place to hide.

24 Days of Elf on the Shelf Antics
We love having our very own Elf on the Shelf and I’ve talked about it before. It is a really special way to bring Christmas magic into the boys’ day for the whole month of December. Since my latest Pinterest obsession has taken over my days (I.Must.Keep.Pinning), I’ve been seeing a lot of fun and creative Elf on the Shelf ideas. Some people’s elves are seriously creative!
It made me think about how fun it would be to chronicle our Elf’s antics. Every day from December 1st to December 24th, I will post a picture of what Jack Andrew Smitty is up to. I will come back to this post and link up all the pictures so you can have one resource for fun elfy antics. If you have an elf, I would LOVE to see your pictures, too! I’ll put a linky on this post and please feel free to share your Elf on the Shelf posts as well.
I love our Elf!

Elf on the Shelf Antics!
Two years ago we welcomed our very own Scout Elf, Jack Andrew Smitty, into the family. Our Elf on the Shelf has been a lot of fun and the boys love to see him show up. We are currently waiting for our Jack to arrive (should be any day!) and we anticipate what kind of antics he may pull. While visiting Pinterest (my new obsession) I’ve been able to see some of the crazy stuff other people’s elves have pulled and I thought it would be fun to share that with you….you know…just in case you wondered. *wink*

Apparently, “Elfie Rojo” painted these kids’ noses RED! How funny is that. What a trouble maker.
