I am not real big on posting pictures of myself, especially full body or belly shots. Mostly because, frankly, my ass is as big as my belly. but today I caught one on my phone and decided it wasn’t too bad. It’s the first belly shot I’ve taken that’s actually made it to my IM and to my blog for you. I am 28 weeks and 2 days.

New Pictures of the Triplets

I was SO excited to get an email from my former IM (intended mother). She sent me some new pictures of the triplets. They are truly beautiful children and I am so lucky that I get pictures and updates from them.
Here are a few more. It made me sad to block out the mommy & daddy’s faces, but since surrogacy is illegal where they live, I wanted to protect their identity. Not like government officials from their country would visit my blog…but still. They are a gorgeous family!

The Ultrasound Results Are In!

I was convinced that this baby of their’s was a girl! But I have never guessed right before, so why start now?
Today was our big ultrasound. I am 18 weeks and 5 days pregnant with their baby. Shannon had been having baby girl dreams. Pair that with my “instinct” that this was a girl, and we were shocked when the tech typed in “BOY.” Everyone was thrilled. They already have a beautiful daughter and I know that having this son is a very special blessing.
Now Shannon and Mike will understand why I feel crazy a lot of the time. Boy’s are very different, and very special. I am so happy for them.
Congratulations.
I have hand-me-downs if you need them.
And Prozac.

I'm Feeling The Baby Wiggle!

I’m only 13 weeks along today with Shannon & Mikes baby, but s/he is already doing it’s happy baby dance in my belly. It’s very exciting!
I was on my surrogate message board a couple weeks ago and was reading how some of the girls were reporting movement. I literally rolled my eyes and thought, “what weirdos, it’s WAY to early to feel a baby.” These girls were a bit further along than I was at the time…maybe 12-14 weeks (I was at 10ish).
I was wrong!
I have been feeling movement for about a week now. Mostly little thumps and wiggles. It doesn’t feel like “butterflies” like the pregnancy books say. At least not to me. It feels more like one of my 3 year olds gently tickling me with their tiny fingers, but from the inside.
It’s unmistakable.
I guess when you are on your 3rd pregnancy and 7th baby, you get better at detecting it.
Our next doctor appointment is on November 24th and they said to expect the big ultrasound on December 17th. I am excited because Shannon and Mike will be down for Thanksgiving and will be able to attend the appointment with me. We always have a great time together, I am very lucky to have found them.
When did you start to feel your babies move? I remember being at Mr. A’s 20 week ultrasound and telling the doctor I had never felt him kick! What a difference between the first and last pregnancy, huh?

Hello. It’s Monday. I feel like I should have something posted today but I am SO tired that I just can’t stand it. One more reason that I’ve now decided that Baby Burnsie must be a girl. My boys never gave me this much grief! LOL!
I’ve just been extra tired and nauseous and then there was the little bleed last week. All the reasons to point to a very dramatic girl coming into Shannon and Mikes future. Speaking of which, I did forget to mention that I saw my OB/gyn last week. We should have our big ultrasound gender reveal on or around December 17th. Something to look forward to at Christmas time, huh?
We had friends come over last night for dinner. I worked my ass off getting my house presentable. When you are super duper tired you don’t do a lot of house keeping. But we had fun. It was a guy from my husbands work and his wife and baby girl. They did some kind of hack on our Wii so that we don’t have to play the disks. They are loaded onto a hard drive or something and we can just pick the game from a list. I hope it’s not illegal….otherwise I might have to delete this entire post. haha.
Coming up I have four reviews to post for the Shark company (Euro-Pro). I’ll try to space them out so my front page doesn’t become a Shark Infomercial, but honestly, I LOVE all my Shark stuff. So if it’s an infomercial for a bit, just try to go with it.
I guess that’s it for now. I haven’t found anything interesting to take a picture of today either. I’ll try to get on that. Maybe I’ll close my eyes and nap while the boys play the Wii…think they will notice?
