Did you watch the Country Music Awards last night?  If you didn’t fall asleep with a raging headache (ahem…me) then you didn’t miss one of Country’s hottest groups, Lady Antebellum winning the CMA for Vocal Group of the Year!    I just love Lady Antebellum and am excited to tell you about their new CD and tour that is coming to a town near you.

Their latest album, Own The Night was only released in September and the first single, “Just a Kiss” rose to Billboards Country Top 10 in only 6 weeks.

 ”We’re definitely more in tune with each other musically and personally than ever,” said Haywood. “It’s an exciting place to be. This album was created from the ground up—we are writing these songs, playing these instruments and creating these arrangements. With OWN THE NIGHT, more than ever before, I think we share a real feeling of accomplishment both as a band and as friends.”

After selling out every city on the group’s first-ever headlining tour, multi-platinum group Lady Antebellum announced that they will launch the first leg of their OWN THE NIGHT 2011 TOUR on Nov. 11 in Knoxville, Tenn.  The first leg of the 21-city arena tour will feature special guest Josh Kelley and a combination Eden’s Edge and Randy Montana in the opening slot. Tickets for the opening night in Knoxville, Tenn. will be available on Aug. 26 to the public.

I can’t tell you how excited I was when my wine came this month.  It was like Christmas!  I am quite embarrassed to admit that I drank down my bottle of Perry Creek El Dorado Chardonnay in one sitting.  *blush*  I’ve always claimed to not even like white wine, but this Chardonnay was so delicious that it was gone and put in the recycle bin before I could even get a picture of it!

The bottle of Perry Creek “Zinman” Zinfandel lasted a bit longer since it wasn’t quite as sweet as I had hoped.  It seems I am learning that I actually LIKE quality white wines but prefer the “cheap” red’s.  Go figure.

Did you know that Zinfandel’s are red?  I had no idea since I had only ever seen white zinfandel (which is pink).

Nathan will eat his weight in fruit and vegetables all day long.  No joke.  Last night he picked out all of the broccoli from his pasta dinner and ate that along with an entire bowl of cantaloupe.  I practically had to force feed him any pasta or meat.  My mom will buy him buckets of berries from Costco and he will finish it off in a day if I let him.

Of course, twin brother Gabriel is the complete opposite.  He is my carb addict and would be perfectly happy eating nothing but cereal and peanut butter (no jelly) sandwich’s for the rest of his childhood.

Tuesday Toots

Hello, welcome to Tuesday.  You know, the day after Monday?  Yeah.  That’s all I got.  You would think I could be more creative since the boys went to school on Monday and I had an entire six hours of blissful silence, but no.  I’m boring today.  Maybe today sitting around in more silence will inspire me to write something clever.  In the meantime, check out my friends, they are always infinitely more exciting than I am:
