I Need a Vacation

I haven’t been on a vacation in a long time.  I really want to go somewhere beautiful and quiet.  I want to go somewhere with just me and the hubby and leave the kids with grandma.  Doesn’t that sound divine?  I was searching online and decided I wanted to go visit these outer banks homes.  I love to look at houses that I will never live in.  So these seem about as far away as I can get from reality.

Oh, but they are on the beach.  I don’t like the beach.  And I think they might have hurricanes.  I don’t like those either.

Never mind.  Doesn’t sound like much of a vacation.

I’ll take the kids to Disneyland again.

Disneyland…again!

My birthday was last week.  Since the twins are still free (under 3) and Disneyland is doing the “get in FREE on your birthday” promotion, me and my mom decided it would be fun to go back (even though we were only there a month ago).  We only had to get a ticket for my mom and Mr. A.  This time we left the grouchy old men at home, and we had a BLAST!  Since we also went mid-week, there were hardly any lines.

Here are a few pictures just getting into the park and waiting in line for my ticket (that was the longest line of the day!)

These make me laugh….Every time we saw a character, Dennis hid!  lol

Here we are at the old Rocket ride.  I was in the Rocket with the twins and they were loving it!

LOL!  I love it that I got a picture of Eddie picking his nose!!  And notice that Dennis is again hiding his face.  I don’t know what was up with that kid that day.  He was playing shy with everyone.

I LOVE both of these!  It’s not real often that I get a decent picture of the twins, or all three together.  So I was happy with both of them.

Here is us visiting with Mickey Mouse!  I was disappointed that this one came out blurred because it was a great shot of us all.

My cheesey boy!

There you have it.  Our latest trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Disneyland!

My mom’s birthday was on the 19th so we headed to Disneyland! It was really great. Because my nephew has cerebral palsy, he was able to participate in some community involvement do-hicky and get the tickets for WAY cheap. I think they were like $30 bucks a piece. If you have a child with a disability in the San Diego area (maybe more places, I don’t know) contact your service coordinator and ask them about this program!! Anyhow, that was my little PSA for the day. :)

So we packed up 5 adults and 6 children and took the 2 hour drive to the happiest place on Earth. The weather was beautiful, the kids were happy. It was a good day. We left at 7am and got home at midnight. The kids were SO good, I was so proud. Of course I took a ton of pictures. More than one hundred. Lucky for you, I’ve narrowed them down to my favorites. And because I was bored this morning, I started playing with various photoshop actions to make my pictures all that more interesting. I hope you appreciate it. lol!

Before we left. The boys look perky and happy and excited to get going!

This is when we got there. My Mr. A and my nephew:

Here is Eddie. This is a cool old toy camera action. Sorry but I don’t remember where I got it. If I do, I’ll let you know, Found this one! It’s at adobe. Enjoy! I just love this sweet photo of my little trouble maker:

This is Dennis riding his very first Disneyland ride! He looks a little concerned, but he LOVED it and was cheering and clapping when it was over.

Here are all my boys riding Dumbo!

My momma and poppa. Happy Birthday Momma! :)

Here’s Bob and the kids in the tea cups. I did an action called “color pop slut” lol! I have NO idea where I got that one! But it makes for some really colorful stuff, no?

Mr. A with something called “softy bleach.” I really need to go find where I got these actions. They are fun and cool and they were FREE.  I went searching and found that I got these ones here in a “phaunt fun pack“  I don’t know if the exact action is still available, but she’s got some other great freebies!

Here we are at the Mickey Mouse house. YAY! This was the highlight of my day because the twins were So excited to see THE Mickey Mouse!

Group shot with the Mouse! This is my parents, my brother, my husband, me and all the kids. Not too bad for such a big group photo, no? Too bad I’m looking pregnant. :( But it was because I was leaning back to keep Dennis out from behind Mickey’s ear. He just wanted to be close to the Mouse. Who doesn’t?

Half way decent shot of the hubby and I, taken by my amateur photog, Mr. A.

Here we are at the end. This is the boys watching the fireworks. It was about 10pm. Mr. A looks SO tired. They were real troopers!

So there you have it. Our trip to Disneyland. I can’t wait to go again!!! It is so much more fun when you have kids.
