I Heart Faces Challenge – Jump For Joy

I know I’m a day early posting since this challenge doesn’t start until tomorrow (Monday, March 8), but what can I say?  I knew the moment I saw what this weeks theme was, what picture I wanted to use.

Last week (maybe the week before…days run together when you are a SAHM) the boys and I were outside playing on their bouncy balls.  I have to say, these sit on balls are THE best toys for boys.  They spent an hour outside jumping all over the place, round and round, and wore themselves out.

Anyhow, I got several cute shots but this was my favorite.  The expression on Anthony’s face is just the best.  He’s having so much fun.

I don’t usually do a lot of post-production editing to my pictures other than a curve adjustment here or there.  But in this picture, he was at the end of the driveway, so I cropped it a lot and then played with it a bit.  I hope you like it.

If you like to take pictures, check out I Heart Faces and play in their weekly challenges.  There are always so many great shots, it’s hard to compete with all the pro’s, but it’s fun nonetheless.

I Heart Faces Week 2 Challenge

With the new year and the new camera, I thought it would be fun to start participating in some challenges out there.  After all, it would be nice to be able to use my fancy new camera to it’s full potential.

This week is I Heart Faces‘ 1st Birthday!  So they are celebrating with some fun challenges and great giveaways.  This weeks challenge is simply “Best Face Photo.” I got this picture of Anthony on 1/2/10 and just love it.  His expression is priceless yet I’ve seen it a million times!  I hope you like it, too.

I Heart Faces ~ The Pout

I came across the website I *heart* Faces yesterday.  Have you seen it?  It’s so fun!  Now, I am by no means a photographer, but I love to take pictures of the kids.  I literally have thousands of them.  And I’m always really bummed that out of the thousands, very few are what I call “good.”  So I’ve decided that I am going to play along at I *heart* Faces in hopes that I can improve my eye and get better at finding great shots.

This weeks theme is Pouting.  HA!  My kids pout every darn day.  I happened to have this picture of Dennis that I took at my mom’s birthday party in January.  So here is my first entry into the I *heart* Faces contest.  Hope it’s worthy.
