Mr. A's First Movie ~ Monsters Vs. Aliens

This weekend me and my husband took Mr. A to his first ever theater movie.  We went and saw Monsters Vs. Aliens.  It was a super cute movie and  I really liked it.  But we (well, “I”) made the choice to spend the extra money and go to the 3-D Imax version.  Ho-ly crap!  I have never been to an Imax movie.  And, when we were taking our seats, the attendant guy told us that the seats in the front were actually better for viewing Imax.  Okay.  We went to the front.  I almost threw up.  Several times!

Anyhow, I do have a point.  And that is that I think the Imax version of this movie was probably over kill for the poor movie virgin 4 year old.  But my thinking was that I wanted him to be impressed.  I wanted him to be in awe of the movies.  He was.  All we had to do was walk into the theater and he first saw that giant “TV” screen…he was amazed.  The smile on his face was priceless.  He was grinning ear to ear.

Let me remind you…it really doesn’t take a lot to impress and amaze a 4 year old.  I wish I had saved my $10 bucks and had an extra margarita at lunch.

Of course, I have pictures…don’t I always? :)

Me and my boy at lunch.  We took him to Chili’s because he loves the slurpee drinks…and we had a $25 gift card from Christmas.

Ahh, the margaritas.  What’s a celebration with out one?

Here’s a couple of Mr. A.  Inside and outside the theater.

So, there you have it.  We had a great time.  It was a nice change to go hang out with daddy and Mr. A only.  My mom watched the twins (Thanks mom!).  And if you get a chance to see Monsters Vs. Aliens, I would.  It was a really cute and funny movie for the whole family.
