Artisan Fresh Appetizers from Sam’s Club

I am currently planning my family’s annual Christmas party.  This is always a lot of fun for us and usually involves a lot of cooking and preparing since about 50 or so people come to my house for dinner.  This year we have decided to go with a South of the Border theme with Mexican appetizers and a nacho bar.  I’m having a lot of fun planning deserts and looking for festive decorations.  Always at the top of my list to feed my family is Sam’s Club and this year I am really happy to know that they will have a big selection of Artisan Fresh Appetizers to get what I need.

Sam’s Club is proud to announce a great change to many of their Member’s Mark® products. Now you can find the quality bakery and deli products you’ve come to expect from Member’s Mark under a new name – Artisan Fresh™. What hasn’t changed is the freshness you and your family already know and look forward to. So be on the lookout for Artisan Fresh items at your local Sam’s Club® and enjoy great-tasting foods, skillfully prepared – just for their Members.

Sam’s Club’s new line of Artisan Fresh pre-prepared appetizers make it real easy for anyone to throw together a dinner party.  They have that great “from-scratch” taste without the “from-scratch” time that it takes to make them.

Now, everyone knows that I love making things from scratch but even I know that if 50 people are coming over, I need to take short-cuts so that I can actually enjoy my party and not be stuck in the kitchen.

Twitter Party

Every Wednesday through the end of the year, Sam’s Club is hosting some fun and informative Twitter parties.  Tomorrow night will be the Apps in a Snap party where they will be discussing ways to make holiday entertaining easy.

Be sure to follow Sam’s Club on Twitter and join in on the party with hashtag #SimpleSavings  to participate and win prizes!  The chat starts at 5pm PST (that’s 7pm in CST).

Check out my Sam’s Club Twitter Party post for details on all the topics coming up!

Sam’s Club Help’s Keep You Safe This Holiday Season!

It’s that time of year again!  Whether you like it or not, the holiday’s are right around the corner and I know my kids are already on the hunt for their Christmas list  “must-have” items.  Personally, I LOVE the holidays.  My kids are at the perfect age for enjoying everything magical about Christmas.  Unfortunately, my pocketbook doesn’t always produce a magical amount of money.  We have to shop smart and thrifty and the Black Friday sale items are just one of the ways I try to stretch my (very tiny) budget.  But, who really wants to go out at 3am on Black Friday and freeze their butts off while standing in an enormous line for the best sale item?

Um.  Not me.

I have gone out on Black Friday, but I’ve never been ambitious enough to score a “door-buster” item.  I guess I’m just too lazy.  My mom and I head out at the more respectable hour of 9am and it is a lot less stressful and a lot more safe (no door-buster trampling deaths in my family!).

What if I told you that there was an easier way?  A way to still score amazing holiday deals, all from the comfort of your couch?  Well.  There is!

Sam’s Club has created a way for members to get the best holiday steals without leaving the house by using the Connect & Save shopping method. By using your iPad, mobile phone, or visiting www.samsclub.com, you can avoid the crowds and get your holiday shopping done simply and stress-free.

Right now through December 24, members AND non-members can connect to SamsClub.com/gifts, a solution for every aspect of holiday planning. SamsClub.com/gifts features a daily “Holiday Value of the Day” including online exclusives, gifts with free shipping, instant savings and any other holiday Sam’s Club details that you might need.

Sam’s Club has even enhanced their mobile app this season so you can create custom shopping and gifting lists, view customized eValues and organize your entire shopping experience.  (If you don’t have the Sam’s Club iPhone Ap yet, get it, it’s fabulous!)

Members can also take advantage of the Sam’s Club Click ‘N Pull service where products are selected online and ready for pickup in Club the next day. If email is your thing, Sam’s Club offers a special Buy of the Day where you receive a new alert in your inbox everyday highlighting an item on sale.

So, stay home this holiday shopping season and curl up with the kids.  Let Sam’s Club do all the running around for you!  Keep up with more sanity savers by following Sam’s Club on Facebook and Twitter.

“Unfortunate Tree” Contest Ending Soon!

Hey, do you want to know a secret?  Nobody has entered the Sam’s Club Unfortunate Tree contest on my blog!  What gives?  It’s a fabulous contest in which you enter a picture of your saddest Christmas tree and the winner will get a very beautiful designer tree!  I don’t know how many entries the other Sam’s Club community bloggers are getting…but I haven’t gotten a single entry.  Makes me sad.  But this also means that your odds of actually winning are higher since their are low entries.

If you don’t happen to win the contest (which ends on the 29th), but you still want a beautiful Christmas tree, be sure to check out the selection of ornaments and decorations at your local Sam’s Club. They also have a cool step by step instruction guide on how you can achieve your designer look with very little effort.  I know it only took me about an hour to have my tree done.  Isn’t it pretty?

Don’t forget that you can also vote for my “Monkey Madness” tree on the Sam’s Club Facebook page.  If I win I will get $100!  YAY!  Who doesn’t need money at the holidays?  Then my designer tree will go to a local charity in time for the holidays.

So get your Unfortunate Tree pictures into me so you can win a beautiful designer tree, too.

FTC:  I was provided monetary compensation for my participation in this Sam’s Club promotion.

Pink Withdrawals

I am terribly sorry that I’ve been absent this week.  It seems that I am having some serious pink withdrawal and just can’t get my head in the game.  That paired with cleaning like a mad woman for our Thanksgiving celebration and I just haven’t been able to think about blogging.

Since last weekends incredible 3 Day journey, I haven’t really been able to think about much else.  I wish I was a better writer so that I could tell you how amazing the whole thing was.  I wish I could make people understand that magnitude of the event and the feelings of pride and joy I felt.  To come home to “normal” really kinda sucks.

To get up and get my coffee without a cheering crowd is so lame (thanks Bob for trying).

To not have a kind person clear my dirty plates after a long day and tell me how wonderful I am is boring.

To not have funny dressed cheerleaders standing out by my mailbox is dull.

People who have not walked in my shoes (literally) can not understand how I feel.  I don’t think anyone will ever understand, unless you’ve done this incredible journey, too.

I finally got around to downloading the few pictures off my “real” camera that I managed to get.  It was rainy most of my time in camp so I didn’t wander around snapping all the pictures I had hoped to.

Rainy Day

American Massage Therapy Association were awesome!

Tired but smiling!

Just remember to Keep Going®!

I have all kinds of posts that need to get up.  I need to remind you to enter the Sam’s Club Unfortunate Tree contest, and I have some reviews to get up for the holidays.  I’ll try to get back this weekend.  I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving with their families!
