I complain a lot about where I live. Mostly just because it’s so darn expensive to live and get ahead here. But, our reasons for staying were never more clear than today. To be able to just pack up and drive 20 minutes to play in the snow is pretty awesome. Then, when everyone was sufficiently soaked to the bones and shivering like leaves, we packed up and came home.

On Sunday me and my mom took the boys sledding for the FIRST TIME! They had a BLAST! Sorry there are so many pictures, be glad it’s only 7…I took 192! It was really hard to narrow it down.

Everyone was soaking wet after sledding for 2 hours. But nobody cared. Us SoCal folks don’t have “snow clothes” ya know.

Snow Day

Here in San Diego we recently had a bunch of cold storms come through. “Storm Watch” as they always call it around here. It doesn’t rain much so when it does, it’s a big deal. Anyhow, there was snow in our local mountains so we took the opportunity to take the boys up for a day. Actually, it was only an hour because we couldn’t stand the cold any longer than that! Here are a few pics. It was beautiful to look at! I don’t know how people live in this stuff!!
Here is Gabe and my mom. He LOVED sledding. Too bad we sucked at it and he never got very far. But we tried.
