This weekend was a beautiful weekend here in Southern California.  And to celebrate Daylight Savings time and the gorgeous weather, we had a barbecue.  I love this time of year!  Anthony and I were out and I noticed the plum trees in full bloom.  I got closer and we found a butterfly.  I wish I had my good camera, I don’t know why I don’t just carry it around with me at all times (um, maybe because it’s big and heavy…but that’s beside the point).  Anyhow, I was just tickled as could be that this little butterfly let me get so close with my phone to take a picture.

I know, I’m easily amused.

Is Springtime showing up where you live, yet?  We are all stocked up on club store size allergy meds…bring the flowers!

Small Talk Six ~ Springtime!

Good morning and welcome to momdot.com’s weekly Saturday meme, Small Talk Six.  They started this meme to give us something to talk about on the “slow” days.  HA, like any day is a slow day around this house.  But that’s besides the point.

Today’s theme is:

6 things you love or hate about springtime.

  1. The days are getting longer and I LOVE the extra sunshine that we can enjoy after dinner.
  2. I HATE my allergies.
  3. I LOVE Easter and all that it stands for.
  4. I LOVE all the beautiful purple flowers that grow on my hillside outside of my kitchen window.
  5. I HATE that it is the beginning of the hot season in Southern California.  I don’t like to be hot and I don’t like to wear shorts.
  6. I LOVE all the fresh berries that are everywhere in the stores and don’t cost an arm and a leg now!
